Easingwold School is a coeducational 11-18 comprehensive school. Sited about 10 miles north of York on the outskirts of the market town of Easingwold, the School caters for an area of some 150 square miles. The majority of its 1300-plus pupils comes from the primary schools with which it is traditionally associated, although in recent years 25% of admissions have been from further afield.
The School is pleasantly situated, surrounded by its playing fields and grounds. There is also a Youth Centre on site.
The School has received three national Schools Curriculum Awards (1987, 1992 and 1997) and was awarded a Highly Commended Certificate in the 1995 Charter Mark Awards. In 1998, the School was awarded a national Sportsmark and a highly commended national award for work placements. This was renewed in 2001, for a further three years. In 2001 the School received a School Achievement Award. In 2005, we gained Investors in People Award, an endorsement of our work on professional development.
